St. Sylvester Parish is a Roman Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of Chicago. We are a bilingual community (English and Spanish) located in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Near Northwest side of Chicago. Our mission is that entrusted by Jesus to his apostles when he founded the Church: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt 28:19-20).
As Catholics, we share in Christ’s life and seek to grow in his love through the liturgical and spiritual life of the parish as well as through service to our neighbor. The service of St. Sylvester to the neighborhood includes sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and by loving him in the poor through our social service programs.
Our vision is the vision Christ entrusted to his Church: union with Christ, through Christ with one another, unto salvation.
We invite you to come and join us. |
